Kinetic Groove Loves Freitag!

Don't you get the feeling at the moment that the last remaining big clubs in London are just packing the dancefloors to line their greedy pockets? sure the lineups are amazing, but the dancefloors are full of idiots - it spoils your night!

Those in the know however are seeking out smaller more intimate parties with lesser known DJ's, enter stage left "Freitag". Taking place at The Russian Bar (Kingsland Road, LDN) the first Saturday of every month, Freitag offers an excellent atmosphere, constant flow of up and coming DJ's and of course, undergound music a plenty. What's more the door damage is £5, bargain in these tough times.

Both myself and the Smirk have played here a couple of times and can safely say its a great party. So why not check it out?

The next Freitag is taking place on the 4th of April, for more information on the event, visit their Resident Advisor page at the following link: http://www.residentadvisor.net/event-detail.aspx?id=91051

2009 update!

Hello everyone, hope you are all well!

So, what's going on at the moment? Well, firstly the Podcast - WOW! People are still subscribing and downloading episodes 1 & 2 thick and fast which is great news. Episode 3 will be touching down on the 1st of April and will be mixed by Kinetic Groove artist "The Brain". In terms of what will be happening in future Podcasts, we don't want to let too much on - but, expect to hear some different styles as well as DJ's you may of heard of and some you haven't.

Kinetic Groove is also in the process of planning its 2nd Birthday party. We held our first party in April of 2008 and were looking to do the same this year, however we're holding off a little longer to see what the weathers going to do with itself. What we can say is that the party will be taking place at a location in East London, with DJ's from Kinetic Groove and other guests - more details will follow soon!

So that's it for now. Thank you to all of the artists that have recently been sending in your demo's, we've tried to reply to as many of you as possible and will continue to do so, so be patient. If you have a demo that you would like to send to us, please do so to demos@kineticgroove.com

Here's to a great Summer!

Oi, Twit Features!

After hearing about "Twitter" I thought I should check it out, so I signed up on their site and I must say, i'm slowly being taken in by it! At first I couldn't really get in to it and didn't really want to let on "too much", however after viewing some peoples twitter pages I did and have found myself putting random updates. Why? Why not! To an extent its quite interesting following what someone does, e.g. your favourite producer or DJ, especially when their on tour. On the other hand reading about what Jonathan Ross (Wossy) is doing every 5 minutes can get quite boring.

As the eagle eyed of you will have seen there is a twitter section on this blog that gives you updates of whats going on with me and the label, so if you're in to Twitter - feel free to become a "follower", my Twitter ID is "stefankgroove". Personally I think its going to be quite a cool way to keep you all updated with what's going on etc

Don't worry, i'll be keeping it "old school" and updating the blog like this too (when does something become "old school"?)

Thanks for your support!
