Exstatic Sounds, new Venue for October!

Our friend Martin Lange (Organiser of Exstatic Sounds) has been one busy chap this summer throwing a number of parties at Camden's Lockside lounge and Vinyl bar, as well as other projects around London.

We're pleased to tell you all that Martin is stepping it up a gear with Exstatic Sounds, running 3 parties at East London venue "On the Rocks" this October. As usual the lineup is bringing the best of the underground with resident DJ's from parties such as Jaded, Minimal Carnival and uber cool daytime party Lo*kee.

First party takes place on the 2nd of October, click HERE to visit the Resident Advisor page for more details

Stefan Cordery will be flying the Kinetic Groove flag on the 9th, playing alongside Nisekay (Lo*kee), Onrik (Foreplay, Mean), Louis Guilhem (Minimal Carnival) and of course, resident DJ Martin Lange.

Robert Cashin - "Alesis" out today!

As we move through 2009 at what seems like a blistering pace, we are pleased to bring you the 8th release on Kinetic Groove, this time from new signing Robert Cashin.

Hailing from Cardiff, Wales in the UK Robert has had an impressive start to his music career DJing alongside artists such as Tim Sheridan, James Zabiela, Audiojack and
James Talk but to name a few. In the Studio his use of complex percussion and warm melodic sounds stamp the Robert Cashin trademark on his productions, resulting in deep, funk ridden grooves. These fresh sounds and techniques have caught the ears of many industry veterans and this year has already seen him working with a number of reputable producers.

First up on the release is the title track."Alesis” has 2 stages of development based around rhythmic chord stabs and subtle texture changes. The effortless rolling drums and percussion then help to produce an easy to follow groove, which also makes this track a great DJ-tool.

Moving onto the 2nd track on the release, "Kaba" is all about rhythms. Layers of continuous and disjointed percussion create an abstract arrangement, which shrouds the tracks eerie undertones. These underlying sounds are then revealed in the drop, allowing the core percussive elements to guide the progression.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The tracks have been on rotation with the likes of DJ HELL, STEPHAN BODZIN and LUCIANO but to name a few! Hear what other DJ's are saying about the release:

ALEXI DELANO (Clink Recordings) - "Very nice deep tracks, will support for sure 3/5"
