Kinetic Groove Loves Rainbow Value!

If you've been following the Kinetic Groove Blog for a while, you'll know that we banged on about this party last year. Well good news, its back - and this time, its even better!

For those of you that haven't heard of Rainbow Value, we'd best give you a quick insight. The Kinetic Groove team first came across the party last year in the lead up to summer. The party took place every saturday, starting around 12pm @ Bricklane venue 93ft East. The party itself was for charity and what more, had some suprise guests like Mr C, Tim Sheridan, Glimpse and Ashley Caselle - DC10 Residents System of Survival loved the party so much, they played twice!! The people made this party too and what loyal followers they were, infact it was hard to go to one party and not want to go back to the next one - so we went to every single one!

As we said, Rainbow value is back this year and by the looks of it, its going to be an excellent party! This year they've not only secured an excellent outdoor space in Hackney, they've got a Funktion1 soundsystem and in true Rainbow Value style, a giant inflatable maze to run round! Don't worry, if you get lost in the maze, there will be "Maze Madams" to help you around!

The first Rainbow value maze party kicks off on the 2nd of May at 2pm @ Space Studio's in Hackney with some excellent up and coming DJ's playing at the event. Advanced tickets are available at a cost of £5 BARGAIN! from Skiddle (see link below). We really do recommend this party as its a wicked atmosphere and is a real kick start to your summer. Oh and did we mention that Kinetic Groove is having its 2nd birthday party at the Russian Bar after the event? ;-)

Kinetic Groove Signs New Artist!

We are pleased to welcome Chris Wren to the Kinetic Groove family. Chris will be releasing a 3 track EP with us this summer under his "Loren" guise - consisting of some really excellent tracks. We're going to put up some samples of his material soon for you all to have a listen to, as well as have a little chat with Chris so you can find out a bit more about him.

Kinetic Groove Birthday Party!

We've been talking about it for ages but its time to get down to business and talk DJ's and the all important venue!

The Party will be taking place on the 2nd of May @ The Russian, Kingsland Road, Hackney, London E2 8AS. The party kicks off at 9pm and is free before 10, £3 before 12 and then £5 thereafter. DJ's on the night will be:

Kinetic Groove Loves Exstatic Sounds!

Here at Kinetic Groove we love our small independent parties and we've been introduced to yet another amazing night. Exstatic Sounds takes place bi-monthly at Camdens Lockside Lounge and from the looks of it, is growing into an impressive party brand. The party is run by promoter and resident DJ Martin Lange, with the intention of supplying cutting edge underground House and Minimal from up and coming DJ's in the London area.

Martin has been kind enough to invite [Stefan] down to DJ on the 9th of May, alongside DJ's Toni C and James Monday from Freitag.

What we love about this party is it starts at 7pm, which makes it an excellent pre-party venue, especially with the summer on the way. The party runs 'til 2am so theres plenty of time to get yourself to a club after. Maybe the best thing about the party is the entry fee, free before 8pm and a recession friendly £3 from 8 onwards!

Like Freitag, we think these smaller parties are going to become more and more popular with music lovers, so why not get involved now and be part of something special!

Greetings and Happy Easter to you all!

So before you settle down on the sofa with your Hot Cross buns, Easter Egg and shite TV. Its time for an update about all things Kinetic Groove...

The Kinetic Groove 2nd Birthday Party - We'll be teaming up with James and Dimitry from Freitag for this one, also DJing on the Night will be Label Manager Stefan Cordery b2b with Rik Vincent aka "The Smirk" and also Paolo Bernacchia aka "Lord of Crows" performing a special live set. We're just getting the last bits and peices sorted, so will be able to announce the venue very very soon. We can however tell you that the party is planned to take place on the 2nd of May and will be in East London.

The Kinetic Groove Podcast, going strong! - Episode 03 mixed by Stefan Cordery is out now and available for download, just click HERE. The podcast is receiving some real attention and whats better, we've got a queue of great DJ's and Producers ready to mix up future episodes. The Podcast is going to stay a monthly installment, however we're looking at doing some special "one off's" and also some enhanced content.

New Signing...shhhhh its a secret! - Kinetic Groove has been scouring for new artists and was recently approached by a really talented young producer. He's got some ace material and we're looking forward to you all hearing it. All will be revealed soon....
