This weekend just passed I was back to DJ at the Russian Bar for Freitag. All that can be said is what a quality party. The place was rammed by midnight, with everyone in high spirits as it was resident Dimitry's birthday.Darien J opened the night playing some really quality tech house, including some of his own productions. Up next was D7 who took the mood more minimal which was a nice build up to mine and Smirk's set. We played a mixture of House and Tech house which got everyone on the floor, both cheering and whistling. We actually ended up playing an extended set til about 2:30 in the morning which was really good fun.Residents James and Dimitry finished up the night with a mix of Tech House and Techno which really got the party moving, so much so that when the lights came on at 5am it was straight in a cab to an after party to carry on the fun!
Hopefully myself and Rich (Smirk) will be back to DJ again at Freitag some time soon, but in the mean time, if you want to get a slice of the action, get down to underbelly (just off of Hoxton Square) for Ickle Freitag this Saturday.
